VHS TAPE ABOUT DRAZEN -
BASKETBALL MOZART

On the
7th June 1993, the death of Dražen Petrović shook the whole
world. At the hight of his career, one of the best basketball
talents, or as Juan Antonio Samaranch put it- »the best European
basketball player of all times«, left us forever. His brilliant
career had begun in his hometown of Šibenik, in the club called
»Šibenka«. After his transfer to »Cibona« where he achieves
whatever has to achieve, he leaves for Madrid, where he becomes
the leading player of »Real« and the most popular foreign player
in Spain. Soon, Europe does not satisfy him any more, so in 1989
he goes to the USA, to the best basketball league in the world –
the NBA. At the beginning, he playes for the Portland Blazers
and in 1991 transfers to the New Jersey Nets, where he achieves
great results. During his short career in the NBA, he was one of
the best shooters – 52% of his score were three-point scores. He
was the 9th best shooter in the NBA, within average score of 20
to 25 points per game. He got chosen in the third five for the
»ALL STAR« game.
This is a
