Este es el primer libro escrito en castellano
(sin ser una traducción de ninguno en lengua serbo-croata)
acerca del jugador de baloncesto fallecido en 1993, Drazen
Petrovic. El autor es Juan F. Escudero, un aficionado a este
deporte, madrileño de nacimiento y madridista de afiliación,
de 36 años, el cual sufrió y disfrutó durante 10 años del
juego del inigualable jugador croata.
El libro es un recorrido puramente deportivo
de la trayectoria de Drazen, desde su Sibenik natal hasta su
muerte en Alemania el 7 de junio de 1993. También es el
reflejo de una época, la mejor a nivel internacional que
este deporte ha disfrutado en su larga historia. Contiene
colaboraciones de figuras que compartieron momentos en
Madrid, como Quique Villalobos o Lolo Sáinz, así como de
aficionados anónimos (como el autor) que han querido ver
reflejado su admiración por uno de sus ídolos de infancia y
juventud.

This is the first book written in spanish
(not a translation from any other in serbo-croatian
language) about the late Drazen Petrovic, the former
basketball player who passed away in 1993. The author is
Juan F. Escudero, 36, born in Madrid and Real Madrid
supporter, who suffered and enjoyed for 10 years the game of
the outstanding Croatian mega star.
This book is
totally dedicated to Drazen´s career, since his beginnings
in Sibenik till his death in Germany on June 7th,
1993. It is also the reflection of an age, the best in my
opinion throughout basketball never ending history. It
contains opinions from some people who shared a whole season
with him in Madrid, former Real Madrid coach, Lolo Sainz,
team mate Quique Villalobos, as well as anonymous fans such
as the author himself, people who wanted to express their
admiration for their idol.
